Technical Writer / Documentation Analyst

Job Title: Technical Writer / Documentation Analyst
Career Level: 2+ years experience

FLSA Status: Exempt
Responsibilities:
  • Have the quality, capability and experience of a IT Technical Writer.
  • Responsible for producing meeting agendas and minutes at the direction of the program and project managers, directed by priorities as set by the Program Management Office.
  • Log, Assign and Track Meeting Action Items and updates to Risks and Issues documentation and client deliverables.
  • Ensure proper delivery of the same agenda and meeting minutes.
  • Possess strong facilitation skills to manage presence in meetings, to control conversations in order to collect precise meeting minutes and related action items, issues, and risks.
Requirements:
  • A Technical Writer must have experience in explaining highly technical data and information in simplistic grade school language for end users of complex IT systems and projects.
  • Must be able to use a variety of word processing, spreadsheet, graphics and scheduling tools.
  • Must have experience in being able to gather and convert data into a written narrative.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Some experience in a complex and diverse IT environment is preferred.
  • Associates Degree in Computer Science, electronics engineering or other engineering or technical disciplines, or 2 (two) years of technical school. Four (4) years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education.
