Job Title: Technical Writer / Document Deliverable Coordinator

Responsibilities:
  • Ability to coordinate and collaborate with Program and Project Management Staff to extract current status updates and related program level report deliverables.
  • Produce high quality deliverable documents free from editorial, grammatical or spelling errors.
  • Can manage delivering to pre-defined schedules and demonstrate informal leadership capabilities in order to command requirements from resources necessary to complete deliverable products.
Requirements:
  • A Senior Technical Writer/Editor must have experience in editing narrative and graphic products to identify and correct grammatical formatting and logic errors and to identify logical inconsistencies that will require author attention.
  • Must have experience in the application a variety of word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, and scheduling tools.
  • Must have experience in meeting with authors and other team representatives to review documents, compile inputs/corrections, resolve incompatible comments, and provide final publishable documentation.
  • Must have experience in explaining in simple language scientific and technical ideas that are difficult for the average reader to understand.
  • 10 years experience with a bachelor’s degree in computer science, electronics engineering or other engineering or technical discipline is required.
  • 8 years or additional relevant experience may be substituted for education.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Professional experience, in a complex and diverse IT environment
  • Intermediate Knowledge of MS Project 2007, to be able to extract WBS items and related data into several program level report deliverables on an as needed and adhoc basis.
  • Skills and experience with MS Office especially MS Power Point, MS Word, MS Excel in order to create reports with embedded objects/pictures/snapshots.
